In January Ann spent three weeks in Chengdu working for the Changfu Company training their master chefs and their apprentices in Western cuisine. Such a great city with so much fantastic food Ann will describe the experience as indelible. The tragedy of the devastation of the region and the energy required to rebuild is, utterly remarkable.
Mid June Ann launched Galaxy Guides stage one on–line. The culmination of four years work collecting information the hard work really starts keeping the site current and collecting new material.
In July and August sauchin has two estages coming from T8 Shanghai. During their stay with us they will work in three of Adelaide’s most presitigious restaurants and be hosted by the South Australian wine industry for tastings to learn more about the South Australian wines on their wine list. Their accommodation is funded by sauchin and they are closely mentored by Ann to ensure they feel welcome.
We are still in close contact with our first estages Lily Wang, laris Shanghai and Liang Tang T8 Shanghai. Having done many estages in America and France Ann is well aware just how profound an experince these short working trips can be.
